I no longer see any reason to take my antipsychotic medications. The long term effects are detrimental to my health, increased risk of diabetes, coronary disease, and changes in brain structure are noted long term effects of antipsychotic medications. One of my grandmothers died from diabetes related complications and the other 3 died from various forms of coronary disease. The medications have already increased my LDL and triglycerides to a very high level while decreasing my HDL cholesterol.

It seems as if there is no hope for those affected by schizophrenia to have an increased quality of life, even with the intervention of modern medications. The long term effects long outweigh the short term benefits. I might as well kill myself and end the misery I'm suffering as well as that I put others through. It seems like the best and least selfish solution to me. What is a 6 month to 3 year loss experience compared to a lifetime of exposure to a schizophrenic. Seems kind of trivial to me.
